Boko Haram leader, Abubakar
Shekau, reportedly released three
new videos on Monday.
The videos were obtained by AFP,
and in one of them, Shekau vows to
defeat the coalition of soldiers from
Nigeria, Niger, Chad, and
Cameroon, who have been fighting
against Boko Haram, Yahoo News
reports.
“Your alliance will not achieve
anything. Amass all your weapons
and face us. We welcome you…
you send 7,000 troops? Why don’t
you send 70 million? This is
small. Only 7,000? By Allah, it is
small. We can seize them one-by-
one. We can seize them one-by-
one,” he said during a 28-minute
speech.
Shekhau is also said to have
threatened the life of Chad’s
President Idriss Deby , as his forces
recently attacked Boko Haram in
the northeast Nigerian towns of
Malam Fatori and Gamboru.
